About the GI Research Club

Our History

Founded in 2022, the GI Research Club was initiated under the auspices of the American Society for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Healthcare (ASIDE). The club was established with the vision to support a diverse range of individuals entering the field of gastroenterology, including medical students, internal medicine residents, IMG resident applicants, and GI fellowship applicants. Over the years, the club has grown significantly, contributing numerous abstracts to various prestigious conferences and establishing itself as a key player in the advancement of gastroenterological research.
