The Student & Early Career Committee is dedicated to supporting students, trainees, early career professionals, and emerging healthcare leaders as they develop their academic, research, leadership, and professional skills.
The committee provides a supportive environment where members can gain experience, build professional networks, participate in scholarly activities, contribute to ASIDE initiatives, and prepare for future opportunities in healthcare, research, public health, and academic medicine.
The Student & Early Career Committee aims to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and leaders through mentorship, skill-building, and meaningful participation in ASIDE activities.
Our goals include supporting students and early career members in developing research experience, academic writing skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and professional confidence. The committee also works to connect members with opportunities to participate in journals, committees, educational programs, outreach activities, and collaborative projects.
The committee seeks to create a welcoming pathway for motivated students and early career professionals to grow within ASIDE, contribute to its mission, and build a strong foundation for future academic and professional success.
Students, trainees, recent graduates, early career healthcare professionals, researchers, and volunteers who are interested in professional development, research, leadership, publishing, education, or community engagement are encouraged to join the Student & Early Career Committee.
Members may participate by helping with academic projects, journal activities, educational events, outreach initiatives, mentorship programs, committee planning, and volunteer-based projects.
To join, please complete the ASIDE membership or volunteer interest form and select Student & Early Career Committee as your area of interest. After submission, the ASIDE team will review your information and contact you with available opportunities to participate.
